This workshop will discuss opportunities to integrate social media as assessment and investigation tools within a larger Project Based Learning context. We will also use social media as an opportunity to integrate discussions of digital citizenship while working in an online environment where proper attribution and fair use are essential.

We will explore how students and teachers can use tools such as blogs, websites, and videos as assessment pieces, inquiry tools, and digital products as well as discuss strategies for incorporating digital citizenship standards into your curriculum.

Participants should come prepared to create a lesson/unit plan that allows students to enhance their learning through social media.
