Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Social Media can certainly be a wonderful resource for school administrators, but the big news around this topic tends to occur when someone misuses social media in a school community. This session will draw on the experience of administrators who are active users of social media and discuss how they have worked to move from the the fear of misuse to embracing social media tools as a communication tool to better connect stakeholders and amplify the great work happening in their buildings. We will answer the following questions and others that come from the audience.
1. How do administrators handle questions and issues that come in around social media and how do administrators respond?2. How do we manage PR around the topic of social media?3. How do we educate educators (including administrators) re: social media?4. How do we educate students and parents ( and our larger community)?5. What policies do districts have in place re: social media-how are they constructed and evaluated?
